Terrigal United welcomes all local clubs and representative clubs to take part in our Pre-Season World Cup Gala Day at Soccer5s Tuggerah. On the back of the excitement of the World Cup, each team can select their favourite nation that played in Qatar 2022. For all our Terrigal United teams this is an excellent event for our players to get some pre-season action before the new season begins.
DATE/TIME/VENUE
Our tournaments will take place over 2 weekends with specific dates listed below with the registration page. Our first games begin at 8:30 am. We ask all teams to report 30 mins before kick-off. The tournament will be held at Soccer5s, 1 Bryant Drive, Tuggerah, 2259.
FORMAT
All games will be played on 5 a-side pitches. Games are 15 minutes long. Gold and Silver finals series. A minimum of 4 games for every team. A minimum of 6 players are to be registered per team. Age groups based on the 2023 calendar:
U5s born in 2018
U6s born in 2017
U7s born in 2016
U8s born in 2015
U9s born in 2014
U10s born in 2013
U11s born in 2012
REGISTRATION AND COST
Registering a team costs $0. Once the team has registered, Soccer5s will send you a unique registration link where each player must register individually. The cost to register a player is $25 per player.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1, If your team selects a nation that has already been selected, we will notify you and will ask you to choose another country.
2, Depending on the number of teams registered in each age group, age groups may be merged to make a better tournament.
3, If each age groups have enough to run a stand-alone tournament the older age group times may be moved to an afternoon kick-off time to make sure each tournament runs smoothly. We will notify these teams at least a week before the tournament starts of time changes.
4, Unique payment links will be sent out from the 4th of January 2023. Soccer5s will be closed for the Christmas and New Year period. However, teams can register throughout this period.
